Fantasy Hockey: Top DraftKings NHL DFS Picks, Lineup Strategy Checklist for May 24

[ad_1]

Monday features a master list of five NHL games starting at 7 p.m. ET on DraftKings. In this article, you’ll find DFS tips for DraftKings alignments, as well as some DraftKings Sportsbook bets to target.

Florida Panthers +100 Silver Line

The Panthers come into this game with a 3-1 drop and are little home underdogs on the silver line. The Lightning were dominant in Game 4 – which they won 6-2 – but could be up against him here in Game 5. Both Nikita Kucherov ($ 8,200; knee) and Mikhail Sergachev ($ 4,400; undisclosed) were allowed to play, but they were doubtful about playing at one point. The Panthers have played the Lightning well in the regular season and are fourth-best team in xGF% in the playoffs this year. The Panthers seem likely to push their Florida rivals here, and I like to chase them in ML today.

Top row stack

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Minnesota Wild

Chandler Stephenson ($ 4,400) – Mark Stone ($ 6,800) – Alex Tuch ($ 5,000)

The Golden Knights can move on today with a win and have been the team to support in this series. The Wild have now allowed 12 goals in the last three games after ruling out Vegas in Game 1. The Golden Knights did it all without the services of their best forward, Max Pacioretty ($ 7,300; undisclosed), which is again questionable and seems unlikely to start here. Their depth is something to take advantage of for DFS. Tuch remains extremely cheap on DraftKings for the production he made in this series and in the continuation. He’s now averaging an elite 3.7 SOG in the last 10 games and already has three goals in this series.

Tuch is now playing on the Vegas frontline (and PP1) alongside Stone, who picked up that series in many ways. The elite playmaker also buried his chances when they came, scoring three goals in the last two games. The Wild just haven’t been able to stop that line since Game 1, and with Cam Talbot ($ 7,200) playing poorly, it makes a lot of sense to continue targeting the Golden Knights’ top forwards for Game 5.

Superstar to target

Aleksander Barkov, Florida Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning ($ 7,600)

Barkov embarks on this game playing at an elite level. He’s an average of 3.4 SOG and now has 14 points in his last 10 games, including seven on the power play. He sees huge volume and feels like a lock to see more than 22 minutes on Monday considering the elimination game here. The Panthers have been blocked by a good goalie at many points this series, but they are generating the fourth-most chances of any team in the playoffs so far and feel like a breakout candidate here at home. . I like to target and build around Barkov here, which is available at its lowest price in over 10 games.

Value in case of infringement

Pierre-Luc Dubois, Winnipeg Jets vs. Edmonton Oilers ($ 3,400)

Dubois has had a miserable year but remains in the top six for the Jets forwards, playing on a line with Paul Stastny ($ 3,200) and Nikolaj Ehlers ($ 5,100). Ehlers’ return sparked the Jets in Game 4 as he managed to score two goals and give the Jets a stranglehold on this series. Dubois had two assists on those goals and had his best game of the series, shooting four SOGs. I like targeting that whole line today, but if you need some really cheap value as a standalone game, Dubois gives you a solid edge given its line’s return to form.

Alex Killorn, Tampa Bay Lightning at the Florida Panthers ($ 3,900)

So far, Killhorn has been instrumental in the Lightning’s success in the playoffs. The veteran winger has seven points in the last three VG games of the series and plays big minutes as he continues to be the main piece of PP1 in Tampa, where three of those seven points have come. The Lightning will likely lean on him even more on Monday, with two of their top power play producers getting screwed. With a salary under $ 4k and a locked role in the Lightning’s top six, he’s the best pure value on the slate up front Monday.

Goalkeepers

Tristan Jarry, Pittsburgh Penguins vs. New York Islanders ($ 8,100)

Jarry gave up four goals in the Penguins’ 4-1 loss in Game 4, but is 2-2 in the series. That streak has been close and returns to Pittsburgh on Monday, where Jarry has been solid all season. The Pittsburgh goaltender is 17-3-3 this year at home with a .927 save percentage. His best game of the series also came at home, where he stopped 37 of 38 SOGs for a 2-1 victory. The Islands have come to life a bit in this series, as they always seem to do in the playoffs, but it’s still an offense that shouldn’t scare anyone off after placing 21st in goals scored and 19th in powerplay efficiency all. throughout the regular season. Jarry is a good payout option here, as he and the Penguins are also strong -140 favorites on the DraftKings Sportsbook, slate’s third biggest favorite.

Value on defense

Ryan McDonagh, Tampa Bay Lightning at the Florida Panthers ($ 4,300)

McDonagh has only had 15 points in 54 games this year, but he’s one of the most prolific shot blockers in the league and currently averages 2.7 shots blocked in his last 10 games. When you add the fact that he’s also averaged 1.7 SOG over the same time frame and could see a bump of a few minutes here, McDonagh’s production looks terribly tempting to target just under 4.5K. $. He’s unlikely for an offensive blast, but he recorded a few assists in this series with the Tampa Bay offense coming to life with the return of Kucherov and Steven Stamkos ($ 6,400). The veteran is a good repayment option to consider here.

Power-Play Defenders

Morgan Rielly, Toronto Maple Leafs at Montreal Canadiens ($ 5,300)

Rielly has been a solid player for the Maple Leafs in the first two games of the series against Montreal. The two-sided defenseman has assists in three straight games and played over 23 minutes for the Leafs in Game 2, getting a power-play assist and three blocked shots. Rielly has become more of a versatile producer this year, entering the game averaging 2.3 SOG and 1.7 shots blocked in the last 10 games. He’s very approachable here as a hub for the very best defensemen and would be a staple in any Leafs’ PP1 stack.

Neal Pionk, Winnipeg Jets vs. Edmonton Oilers ($ 4,600)

Pionk got a power play assist for the Jets in their last game and remains a part of their top power play unit. Winnipeg has so far converted 40% of its chances to a power play in this series, quickly capitalizing on a weak Oilers kill unit. While not a prolific goalscorer, Pionk is locked down to play more than 20 minutes per game right now and is averaging 2.1 SOG while seeing the most powerplay minutes of any Jets defenseman. . If you want to stack the WPG PP1, it’s an easy add-on here at a very affordable price.
